Flogging Molly and Gogol Bordello were a perfect pairing to play the same stage. Both bands are so rowdy and raucous and and perform song made for singing along. The energy on stage at Meadow Brook Music Festival spread out over the crowd all night long, making everyone forget about the thunder and rain. Gogol Bordello played a 14 song set that included “My Companjera,” “Start Wearing Purple,” and “Ultimate.” Flogging Molly followed with an 18 song set that included “Selfish Man,” “Drunken Lullabies,” “Saints and Sinners,” and “The Seven Deadly Sins.” It was a great night with really fun bands that I would recommend to anyone.
